I am honored to receive the Miniature Book Award for the fourth time.
I am wanting to pursue what I like and make what people want.
This book is a book about the beauty of pentagons.
I made a book from the impression when I realized that the petals of cherry blossoms contained pentagons and the golden ratio.
People have a history of making hexagonal books.
In both Islam and Buddhism, small hexagonal books were made.
If you drop the four corners of a quadrangle, you can make a hexagon.
The snowflake is hexagonal. The burrows made by bees are also hexagonal. Honeycomb structure.
The cherry blossoms are pentagonal. The pentagram is a pentagram. There are also pentagons in nature.
It was very difficult to make a pentagonal miniature book.
So, the special edition is limited to 10 copies, several artist proofs are made, and the edition is sold out.
Normal edition will continue to be sold. As for the popular version, the one printed on Japanese paper is sold out, and from now on, it will be the same paper as the special edition (Takeo's White Robert 180 kg).
I also sell unbound printed paper, so if you want to assemble it yourself or ask a bookbinding person to bind it, please purchase unbound.
After participating in the miniature book competition for the first time and returning, I made pop-ups based on the inspiration I got directly in the United States.
Larry Seidman fixed my English.
It was Nakano Letterpress Studio who printed the two solid colors in letterpress.
Sanseido Bookstore Jimbocho Ichinoichi was a week-long event, and it was sold for the first time and a workshop was held.
After that, I started making special editions. The type used for stamping gold leaf is a regular script cast by Tsukiji Katsuji.
The gild scene was broadcast on the "Beauty Pot" that came to the interview.
The artwork images were shared in the handmade book community and ibookbinding.
Thanks to the people who cooperated, understood, and enjoyed it together.
I haven't made a book yet from the inspiration I got from going to the second miniature book conclave. Please look forward to my next work.

4回目となる豆本の賞をいただき、光栄です。
自分の好きなことを追求し、かつ、人が欲しい物を作りたいと思っています。
この本は、五角形の美しさについての一冊の本です。
桜の花びらに、五角形と黄金比が含まれていると気付いた時の感動から、本を作りました。
人は六角形の本を作ってきた歴史があります。
イスラムでも、仏教でも、六角形の小さな本が作られました。
四角形の四つの角を落とせば、六角形が作られます。
雪の結晶は六角形。蜂が作る巣穴も六角形。ハニカム構造です。
桜の花は五角形。五芒星は五角形。自然界に、五角形も存在します。
五角形の豆本は、たいそう作るのが難しかったです。
なので、特装版は限定10部、アーティストプルーフを数冊作り、エディションは完売しています。
普及版はこれからも販売します。

初めてミニチュアブック大会に参加して、帰ってきてから、アメリカで直に得たインスピレーションを元に、ポップアップを作りました。
ラリー・サイドマンが英語を直してくれました。
ベタの多い二色を活版で印刷してくれたのは、中野活版印刷店さん。
三省堂書店神保町いちのいちの一週間の催事で、初めて販売し、ワークショップもしました。
その後で、特装版を作り始めました。金箔押しするための活字は、築地活字さんで鋳込まれた楷書体です。
紙は、竹尾のホワイトロベール180kgと、和紙です。
箔押しのシーンは、取材に来た「美の壺」で放送されました。
作品画像は、ハンドメイドブックのコミュニティや、ibookbindingでシェアされました。
協力し、理解し、一緒に楽しんでくれた人たちに感謝しています。
2回目にミニチュアブック大会に行って得たインスピレーションからの本は、まだ作っていません。私の次の作品にも、ぜひ期待していて下さい。

美しさについて書いた本。五角形は黄金比をその中に含んでいる。五角形を用いた伝統的な模様がある。調和、変化、繰り返しも美しさを生む。それらは本の美、自然の美の中にもある。
特装版は麻を背に入れた本かがり綴じ。函は、山羊革に金箔押し装飾、ペーストペーパー、クルミ染めのネルを使用。特装版本サイズ50ミリ、24ページ、限定10部、函サイズ70ミリ、本文紙はロベール（竹尾）

2019/10/ 「あえかな豆本、ほんわか活版」（三省堂神保町本店神保町いちのいち）で販売。通販開始
2020/5月にNHK『美の壺』「小さな幸福ミニチュア」で『美しい本』タイトル箔押しシーンなどが放送されました。大晦日のeテレでの再放送も、箔押しシーンが印象的だったと好評でした。
2020/ instagramのibookbindingで、2020年のtop1 likes、societiyofbookbindersでもtop9入りを獲得しました！
